SOURCES: Blake Griffin Has Opted Out Of His Contract To Become a Free-Agent

The All-Star forward, and Los Angeles Clipper, Blake Griffin has decided to opt out of his contract and become a free-agent on July 1st. This means that the Celtics and Knicks could be potential landing spots for Griffin if he decided to leave L.A. On July 1st, Blake Griffin will reportedly become an unrestricted free agent. Blake Griffin will still count $29.7m (cap hold) against the Los Angeles Clippers. The cap hold will only be released if he decides to join another team.
